The Wonderful Benefits of Pediatric Spay & Neuter
1) Young animals (less than 4 months of age) undergo the surgery more easily and actually recover faster than older animals - the incisions are smaller, their bodies are in the active growing stage and surgery itself takes less time under anesthesia. Such young animals are rarely obese, in heat or pregnant- conditions which complicate surgeries for older animals.
2) It costs you less. Dog surgery costs are based upon weight and the less your puppy weighs, the lesser the cost. Since surgeries are easier & faster with young animals, we're able to discount their surgery fees to reflect that.
3) Your puppy or kitten will not undergo the heat cycle at sexual maturity with it's annoying behavioral issues for you and lessens the chance of mammary cancers in females and testicular cancers for males.
4) Very importantly, your pets will never become pregnant, preventing more unwanted puppies and kittens.
